Senior Consultant- Health Information Exchange Project Lead

Salary: $79793 - $109716 Per Year

About the Role:

As a health information exchange (HIE) project lead, you will be driving healthcare technology initiatives for our clients, partners, and stakeholders by providing your expertise to support initiatives to improve HIE data and process for our clients. The ideal candidate has a diversity of strengths, including experience with healthcare data, understanding of the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY) and other qualified entities (QEs) in the state, strong understanding of the landscape of New York’s data sharing, and a strong ability to present complex ideas to varying levels of audiences. The ideal candidate is also passionate about health technology and has exceptional written and verbal communications, strong documentation, critical thinking, presentation and facilitation skills. The ideal candidate can manage and develop key, relationships with clients and maintain a strong team dynamic through collaborative thinking and a strong customer focus.

Serving as an HIE project lead, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will be providing your expertise to lead a team to understand, improve, and measure the quality of healthcare data across various domains and helping the client understand where their data flows and how it is used.

The selected candidate will have the option to be based out of our New York City, Albany, or Rome office.

About You:

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership and large audiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with stakeholder management and consensus-building.
  • Strong understanding of social care or disability services.
  • Experience with strategic planning for health information technology (HIT) or other healthcare initiatives.
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and to understand their needs through excellent listening and effective written and verbal communication.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of organizational change management fundamentals in a technology-focused environment.
  • High level of proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience using clinical data, provider data, and/or payer data analyses to inform insights.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., Health Level Seven [HL7], Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources [FHIR]), interoperability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with data quality analysis methodologies and data processes.
  • Master’s degree in a health- or management-related discipline.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health or management or related discipline and five years of relevant experience in HIT.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.

The pay range for this position is $79,793 to $109,716.
